各位国际学生：

假期即将来临，为确保同学们度过平安快乐的假期生活，现将有关事项通知如下：

1. 放假时间

学生自2020年1月11日至2020年2月14日放假，期末考试结束后即可离校。2月17日（星期一）正式上课。

2. 新学期报到注册

学生到校后需进行注册签到，请按时携带学生证至国际教育学院办公室注册，注册日期2020年2月16日之前。

3. 寒假留学生出行信息登记

寒假期间，每位国留学生须向各自班主任提交留宿登记及出行信息登记。请按照时间结点提交假期出行登记表。

4. 期末居留许可（签证）延期工作安排

2020年1月8日至2020年2月20日期间不办理居留许可（签证）延期手续；居留许可（签证）将于此期间到期的同学须在2020年1月8日前办理。

Dear International Students:
The winter holiday is coming. We hereby wish every student a happy vocation. Here are some tips reminded for you before your checking out. The tips are as follows.

1. The holiday starts from Jan.11th to Feb. 14th 2020. Students can check out after Jan. 11^th. The lecture will start on17th Feb. 2020. The international student office will check your attendance.

2. Every student must register in the office when coming back,don’t forget to register for the new semester before16th Feb. 2020.

3. Every student shall submit your travelling plan. The holiday travelling plan shall be submitted before Jan. 3rd, so please finish it before the deadline.

4. The Residence Permit (visa) extension service will not be offered  fromJan. 8th to Feb. 20th 2020. The students whose Residence Permit (visa) will expire during these days, should extend the Residence Permit (visa) before 8th Jan 2020. 

法律常识Knowledge of Law

1、外国人非法就业的，处五千元以上二万元以下罚款；情节严重的，处五日以上十五日以下拘留，并处五千元以上二万元以下罚款。

Foreigners who work in China illegally shall be fined not less than RMB 5,000 but not more than RMB 20,000; where circumstances are serious, they shall be detained for not less than five days but not more than fifteen days and shall also be fined not less than RMB 5,000 but not more than RMB 20,000.

2、国际学生请确认本人的签证/居留许可有效期，并在签证/居留许可过期前30天开始办理相关手续。根据《中华人民共和国出境入境管理法》，签证过期需缴纳每天五百元的罚款。

Please check your visa/residence permit and go through visa/residence permit extension procedures one month before your visa/ residence permit expires. According to The Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China, student whose visa expires will be fined RMB 500 every day.

3、校内严禁进行传教及宗教聚会等活动。外国留学生在我国境内进行宗教活动必须遵守《中华人民共和国境内外国人宗教活动的管理规定》。

Students are forbidden to do missionary work or hold religious assembly within the campus. When students are conducting religious activities, students must follow Provisions on the Administration of Religious Activities of Aliens within the Territory of the People's Republic of China.

4、根据《中华人民共和国道路交通安全法》，未取得机动车驾驶证驾驶机动车以及驾驶无证无牌机动车的，可以处2000元以下罚款，同时根据情况可以并处十五日以下拘留。

In China, driving a motor vehicle without a Chinese driving license or driving an unlicensed motor vehicle will be fined raging from RMB 200 to RMB 2000 and detained for up to 15 days.

防火安全Fire Safety

1、在房间内不可使用蜡烛等明火。

Do not light fires in the rooms, not limited to but especially candles.

2、离开宿舍前拔掉所有电源插头。

Remove all chargers, and plugged in devices before leaving the room.

3房间内禁止吸烟。

No smoking in the dormitory.

4、遵守公寓管理规定，注意防火安全，禁止使用电暖器、小太阳等违规电器及瓦斯罐等易燃易爆物品。

Please obey dorm regulations. Electronic heating appliances, such as electric heaters, electric fans and inflammable and explosive materials, such as gas tanks, are forbidden in the dorms.

5、房间内禁止使用电磁炉、微波炉、煤油炉、电热水壶等炊具和电褥子、直板夹等违规电器。厨房是使用合格炊具的唯一场地。

Cooking utensils such as induction cookers, micro-wave ovens, kerosene stoves, and electric kettles as well as appliances like electric blankets and hair ironsare are strictly prohibited to use in the rooms. The kitchen is the only place allowed to use pre-approved cooking utensils.

6、学生在厨房用火用电时，本人必须在现场，做到人走关火、断电。

Do not leave the appliances and cookers on in the kitchen after use. Please pay attention to put out any flame, and turn off any electronic devices before leaving the kitchen area.

7、使用电器时，请按照产品说明书进行操作。

Please operate the electrical appliances according to the product description.

人身安全Personal Safety

1、无论外出与否，请注意锁好房门。

Whether in the room or not, please remember to lock the door.

2、遵守公寓开关门时间，按时归寝，不留宿外来人员。

Please respect and follow the dormitory hours of operation. It is not allowed to have a guest for an overnight stay.

3、请随身携带护照复印件、学生证。

Please carry a copy of your passport and student ID with you, at all times.

4、请遵守交通规则。

Please obey the traffic rules.

5、出行前请到留学生工作办公室进行出行登记。

All international students should register at ISO, if during the holiday or at any time they plan on leaving Xi'an.

6、在繁华街区，请看管好个人贵重物品。不要把手机钱包等物品放到外套的衣兜里。

When traveling off campus, please take care of your personal belongings. Do not put your cellphone or wallet in your jacket pocket.
